One partner, for example, Philips, already has with Hue intelligent lamps on offer, which can be controlled via smartphone.

The home is supposed to be possible on the iPhone and iPad, according to Apple Siri voice recognition. A possible command could be "Siri, turn off the lights in the living room."
When the first devices with support for Home Kit come on the market, is not yet known. It is expected that the first devices are available at the end. iOS 8 will be available in the autumn.
